TOS is easily hackable – I found hacker installed bit coin mining SW I have been using this over a year. One fine day I found humming FAN noise; upon investigating found that CPU usage was 100% (pathetically TOS showed CPU usage as 200%). Upon further investigating I found process ‘xmrig’ eating all CPU, unit become just inoperable. It was running all latest OS and there were no apparent way to kill the mining process. Nice Device, Some Memory Upgrading Issues Overall, this seems like a pretty nice device and a good choice for beginners to the NAS world – well made and at a great price for the feature set.The packaging was excellent, and the box even included a pretty substantial Philips screwdriver for screwing the hard drives into their trays.
