Time to correct some peoples’ misconceptions… EDIT: I was mistaken about one detail, Google Assistant will NOT unlock the door, only lock. I had tried it that way and assumed it would work both directions but not-so. Best Smart Lock This lock is fantastic and reliable. Everything can be controlled from the nest app. One reviewer was incorrect, you can give guests temporary passwords. They don’t get full access. This was also very easy to install if you have an existing deadbolt.
I wouldn’t purchase this lock! I would not consider purchasing this lock. The piece of the lock that goes through the deadbolt mechanism & makes the lock move feels like it is made of plastic & it broke during our attempt to install. That is crazy, considering that this is probably as important of an piece for the lock to work as the deadbolt. Returned to Amazon today as we were not impressed with the lack of quality here.
