Great improvement – Fantastic device. We were on Comcast Blast Hi-Speed Internet, rated at 150mbps. Using our three year old SBG6782-AC we had wired desktop speed of 170mbps, and abut 65mbps on my cell phone.Upgraded our Comcast to 400mbps, but only got 270mbps on the desktop due to a modem rating of 343mbps. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT IF YOU PLAN ON CUTTING CABLE! This device does not support wifi streaming. I conducted 2 speed tests with this device:1. WIRED – via Ethernet directly to the modem, my download speed was 286 mbs (I pay for 250 mbs)2. WIRELESSLY – TWO FEET AWAY from the same modem my download speed dropped to 80 mbs!!!I returned it to Amazon today and replaced it with a Motorola MB8600 modem and an Eero mesh network and my wireless connectivity = 255 mbs!
