BEST UWA Lens EVER. If you can’t afford the higher end lens, PLEASE do yourself the favor and purchase this one. I ADORE this lens!!! As a storm photographer, it’s a dream.
Great lens for the price. If your looking for a Ultrawide angle lens for a decent price the Sigma 10-20mm f/3.5 is a good choice. It is not a fisheye so straight lines will remain straight. However the same caveat that applies to all wide angle lenses applies here. Do not photograph people to the sides of the frame with this lens as you will likely get distortion. It’s best to photograph people in the center with any ultra wide lens. For others that are new to wide angles like myself, one of the pieces of advice I came across when shooting with a wide angle lens is to try and get close to your subject. With such a wide angle the viewer may become detached from the subject so it’s good to have something in the foreground to draw you in.What’s important to note about this lens is that it has a wider aperture of 3.5. This is good if you plan on shooting indoors or in low light situations. This isn’t a prime lens with a fixed focal length but rather a zoom lens that is a bit more versatile…
Great Lens for Real Estate Photos I’m blown away by this lens–and so’s my #1 real estate photo client. I jumped on it when I saw the lens on sale, and it’s one of the smarter purchases I’ve made. I purchased it primarily for real estate photography, especially for shooting in tight spaces to get more of the room. My normal walk-around lens, which is an 18-300mm zoom is pretty good for photoing rooms at its widest angle, but to be able to zoom down to 10mm has been hugely helpful in photoing closets, kitchen spaces, bathrooms, tall or wide structures from short distances, etc. It’s now my main real estate lens, and it’s already close to paying for itself after a month of working with it.
