Almost retuned this and then decided to keep it!!! I LOVE THIS LITTLE, $50 Lens!!! I started to return it to Amazon after I purchased it for my new Sony a6300 e mount camera…I own a fotodiox canon to Sony emount adapter that allows me to use a different Canon lens and the autofocus worked …this lens does NOT auto focus with my a6300 camera, it’s manual only…however; minutes before I was returning it to Amazon to buy a Sony brand 50mm instead; I decided to mount it on my old Canon 20D…my last camera …I have taken beautiful photos for years with it…anyway; this 50mm is SUPER SHARP, auto focuses equally as my several canon lenses do…I’m keeping it and my pics are sharper on my 20d than my LOVED Sony a6300!!! Buy this if okay with manual only on non canon cameras. Otherwise this little cheapo is awesome!!
Received the mark II version. I donât normally leave reviews, however I was pleasantly surprised when I ordered this lens. I received the mark II version of this lens which retails for about 75 dollars, while expecting the original version. The newer version has much better build quality (metal mounting ring), as well as 7 apeature blades instead of 5. I believe it also has a closer focal distance.
