Ubiquiti silently updated the AP AC LR to 802.3af compliance! This is great news! these cheaper AP AC LRs now run on standard PoE power, just like the AP AC PRO (bigger more expensive bother). the passive PoE prior worked just fine, but did mean you had to run injectors, or buy ubiquiti switches (which are in my opinion worth buying anyway).Still, makes this product super versatile and I love the LRs. great UI, great build, great performance.
Locking and Removal Use a thicker plastic zip tie to remove these things. There is nothing in the manual about how to remove these from the ceiling if you need to, and there is no tool provided. I found another comment on here that suggested the zip tie and that does indeed solve the only problem I’ve found with this model, otherwise, they are fantastic!
Awesome WAP Absolutely love them. We have been using them in our clients homes for years now! Donât think we have had one bad one yet. Tech support is a little rough but there are plenty of sites and info you can google.
