Super Informative! This DVD is just what I needed to familiarize myself with my Nikon D40 SLR. I’ve had it for a few years and really only knew how to use the Auto setting.I have watched it a few times and even leave it on in the background if I’m washing dishes or cleaning so that I can hear it and keep my memory refreshed!I took photography classes in the past but I am not a ‘book/school’ learning kind of person. Awesome instruction for the Nikon D40 This is a great DVD to help navigate going Manual with your Nikon D40. I have had this camera for several years and always struggled with the manual settings due to the challenge of learning with the owners manual. This DVD helps you understand the camera and what it can do. Gives great tips and short cuts and has I found the format very “student” friendly.
Great as an introduction to the D40… …but was hoping for more practical tips and advice for for custom settings. Also a bit annoyed when a Canon DSLR was used as in a practice clip (check time 31:26). Still, the DVD had a good mix of D40 hands-on and picture taking practice…
