I fell for it – so wouldn’t have to… This purchase was a disappointment. The D3400’s shutter release failed a couple of months after making the purchase. Several Bundle Accessories Don’t Fit Camera Like the camera, but some items in the bundle are totally unusable.The external ‘Digital Slave Flash’ unit that comes with the bundle does not fit directly onto the hotshoe on the camera (in the picture you can see where the hotshoe started to scape plastic off the foot of the flash unit when trying to force it in, it wouldn’t go in any farther than that), it only fits onto the mounting bracket that comes with the flash unit.
