Product description Nikon 10.5mm f/2.8G ED AF DX Fisheye Nikkor Lens (2148) From the Manufacturer: This ultra-wide-angle, frame-filling fisheye, designed exclusively for use with Nikon’s DX-format, delivers incredible images with a 180-degree angle of view. The first fisheye lens developed exclusively for use with Nikon DX format Equivalent to 16mm focal length on a 35mmClose-Range Correction (CRC) provides high performance for sharper images when taking pictures up close Design enables a combination of wider angle of view with optical characteristics that are optimized for Nikon digital SLR camera sensors Rounded diaphragm makes out-of-focus elements appear more natural Built-in flower-type lens hood Ultra-wide picture angle of 180 degrees on DX sensor is achieved by producing a smaller image circle (the size of the image that is projected by the lens onto the sensor) enabling a smaller lens diameter, lighter weight and optimal image quality from center-to-edge-to-corner on the image Minimum focus distance of 0.14m (5.5 in.) or 0.03m (1.2 in.) from the lens front, makes extreme close-ups possible Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass element minimizes chromatic aberration Nikon D-type design provides precise distance information for flash and ambient light exposure processes G-type DX NIKKOR is designed exclusively for use with Nikon digital SLR models

Nikon 10.5 Fisheye I simply can’t say enough about this lens. I’d wanted it for a long time but just could never justify the money. Then I rented it and went on a shoot, and shortly after we started shooting it was pretty much decided I had to buy it. After several days of use in various shooting environments and then taking a good look at the images it was easy to get an understanding of how and where the fisheye distorted the image, which then allowed me, to an extent, to shoot w/ that in mind, so I could…
Cool effect, no auto-focus, and pricey! Like many who purchased this lens, you buy it for the sheer width of the shot and the cool effect it has. I have taken some pretty cools shots and I like the up close fisheye look as well as the curve of the earth from afar. I will say I wish it had autofocus. That is a big bummer for me – I shoot with the Nikon D5100. When looking thru the viewfinder the manual focus on the fisheye can be difficult to master and I’ve often downloaded photos where many were just a little off focus which was…
A great Nikon fisheye Genuine Nikon fisheye. Can only use manual focus since it is not fully compatible with my Nikon D5200 but I wanted the best quality. Nikon offers a less expensive fisheye now that would have been more compatible but sometimes you get what you pay for. Only the autofocus does not work but who knows. I may upgrade my camera body at some point in the future. Definitely a quality lens ! I’m very happy it.
