Simply a Great Camera I was having a difficult time deciding whether I wanted this camera or the Sony A6000. I ended up with this one mainly because of the in body image stabilization. At the end of the day, the ability to take indoor shots without worrying about serious image distortion is a blessing. In the subjective realm, I felt like this camera was more fun to shoot with. I don’t do this professionally, instead for a hobby, so the entertainment aspect of photography is significantly more important…
Best in price class???? This is a hard one ………….. 4-5 stars for the price of $550 lets do a quick run down. The Negative;A) No Mic input……. bummer…… however for home family use the internal mics are probably fine and for pro use we mostly use an external recorder anyway so………….B) ISO performance drops FAST after ISO 3200 although we have found ISO 3200 is fine for pro use after some minor noise removal with NEAT VIDEO plug-in for premiere……..for medium size…
New M4/3 User I moved from the Sony A6000 to the M10, and love the camera. My primary reason for switching was the high cost of the e-mount lenses in comparison to the M4/3 format. As another review noted, if you own the Mark II version, this may not be a compelling upgrade. However, if you are new to Olympus, this is a great camera. Though itâs a 16MP sensor vs. the Sonyâs 20, in practical use, thereâs no discernible difference in image quality.
