Beats out competition by a nose but is still subpar to what I need I don’t write reviews much, but have committed many hours of a busy schedule with three kids under 4 to finding the exact perfect baby camera so I will share my experience as others have shared theirs to me on other cameras. Is this a sick joke??? This is my 2nd Motorola baby monitor. The old one (MBP36S) never had an issue with disconnecting signal, no matter where in the house we brought the parent unit. This new one we’ve had for only four nights and it has lost connection every night at least once. The distance is not far between the parent unit and our mounted cameras. They are in adjoining rooms. Do you hate sleeping? Then purchase this monitor. Being a parent of a baby who wakes you up in the middle of the night is hard, having a monitor that wakes you up more than the baby makes you postal. If I could give this no stars I would. It loses reception 4-5 times a night and blares an alarm. The camera is less than 8 feet away from the parent unit and still disconnects ALL THE TIME.
