2 stars for the camera, only because of Canon … 2 stars for the camera, only because of Canon manufacturing quality. Function does not live up to the expectations stated in advertising… Image quality lessens considerably as zoom extends out… Typical of point-and-shoot cameras I know, but not to this extreme. Continuous shooting is disappointingly slow. Excellent images The quality of the images is outstanding. Camera is lightweight and easy to use. By far the best camera I’ve ever had. Have taken some excellent zoom shots of the moon and of birds. The 50x optical zoom was a selling point for me. Found out it is capable up to 200x digital zoom which was used on one of the photos of the moon. A tripod was used for the moon images. Good starter camera I bought this camera as a gift for my boyfriend, he wanted to get into photography and videography, I figured this was a good starter camera to get him used to angles/ lighting before we invest in a better one. It does the job, picture quality was standard videos were not the best but overall good starter….all the accesssories were a plus too found a few cool goodies
