If it fails its going to cost you. I ordered two of these 6 months ago to use in my Synology DS916 NAS drive and one recently started developing bad sectors (32 so far). They were not under heavy use. I’m in the process of doing an RMA with Seagate, but they’re charging me a further $13 to send a new drive and return envelope to me which is a little crappy given that it’s their defect.
