Respectable features and performance for everyday tasks, well-built name-brand laptop for low cost. I got this as a back-up laptop after reading specs and reviews. Having been a user and builder of PCs for many years (my first was a tower I assembled with an Intel 386/33MHz CPU for just under $2k!) I have to be amazed at how the performance/cost ratio has advanced, especially at the lower end of the market. This HP model provides a lot for little $. Only the basic black case speaks of lower cost, yet the case is sturdy–and won’t easily show fingerprints. Keyboard is very good…
Good Everyday Laptop I have used this laptop every day for two months, so I feel pretty confident about the reliability of this particular purchase. I had purchased a Gateway hard drive that lasted one month and an Acer laptop that lasted two weeks…so I wanted to wait to see if this product was a lemon like the others before reviewing. good value for the money I am giving it 3.5 stars (but no way to specify the half star).I’ve had this laptop for just couple of days – it arrived on time in nice packaging.It’s a bit on the heavier side (for a laptop) but I can carry in one hand 🙂 I like the HD screen the best – it shows while watching movies.Speed is adequate and so is hard drive space (for me).
