Good overall joystick but has a few frustrating features for live production This Joystick does control the IP connected PTZ cameras but is frustrating to use in live application.Pros-It works over IP-Can be powered by POE (huge plus!)-Easy setup and configuration-Solid construction and heavy enough it does not move around on a flat surfaceCons-Every time you switch cameras, it takes at least a second if not two to connect and when every second counts when trying to get to the next shot in live production, this gets frustrating.-The button pressing takes some getting use to. Unlike most keyboards, I found that I had to hold the keys down for a longer than normal time for it to be properly recognized. This again added time to move from shot to shot and made for a lot of what I called “misfires.” I am calling a misfire when I would try to send a camera to a preset only to notice the keyboard did not pick up my keystrokes. And hitting escape to start over always reconnected with the camera…
