Poor low light functionality and results. Decent point and shoot gateway to DSLR camera, however, low light was a big flop. I found the Canon SX530 very grainy in low light and to me that was a deal breaker as I like to do evening and night photography here in Chicago. A DSLR is the way to go, but for a carry around type camera, there are much better options out there in this price point for a super zoom point and shoot. I wound up getting the Panasonic FZ80. Pretty decent Decent camera. The range on the lens is excellent. If you have a little knowledge in photography, you will find that you get better results in the manual setting. Downside is manual settings as well as the f stop range are limited. I would give the camera a 3.5 instead of 4 star rating, but that is not an option, and a 3 didn’t seem right.
