Wow, this is one unbelievably fast sharp bright manual lens! UPDATE: Now that I have been shooting with this lens for two years, I can update my review to say it is still the favorite lens I own. I agree with others who say that sharpness at the widest f1.2 is less than at 1.4 & 1.8, but when you are running that wide open, artistic effects are sort of what you are looking for and so it is not a big issue. A Very Interesting Lens This is a bit of a quirky lens, in a good way…in that if you learn to get a feel for what it does (and doesn’t do), you will get some great results. It’s absolutely NOT a lens that produces consistent results through its aperture range. One shot at f/1.2 and you’ll see what I mean. When shooting wide open with this lens, you get heavy vignetting, soft shapes and outlines, and very soft corners.
