The 500mm f/8 High Definition Preset Telephoto Lens is an excellent addition to any photographer’s collection, giving users the ability to expand their creativity and capture incredible scenes from a truly unique perspective.
The Super 500mm / 1000mm f/8 Manual Focus Lens is a classic refractor-style T-mount lens, with an aperture diaphragm in the middle of the lens body to stop down the aperture when necessary. However, it is assumed that much of the shooting with such a lens will be at its maximum f/8.0 aperture, with a tripod, monopod, or other such support. The included 2x doubler converts this 500mm lens into a 1000mm.
When combined with the included T-mount to fit your camera system, this super-telephoto works on both “full frame” cameras as well as the “APS-C” style digital SLR cameras. You can use the lens in “M” manual exposure mode or “A” aperture-priority mode only. This lens’ sophisticated achromatic refractor design yields images with pleasing peak contrast and well-controlled flare. It can be used at maximum aperture on a very bright day for some images of moving subjects like.

It could be better but you get what you pay for It could be better but you get what you pay for. Overall it’s not bad. You must use a fine touch and have a strong tripod while focusing and shooting. Just be careful not to tighten the F mount adapter to the end of the teleconverter too much or the inside thread of the teleconverter will unscrew and get stuck inside your mount adapter, if that happens you can’t use the F mount adapter with just the 500mm lens until you get it out which can be very hard depending on how hard you tightened it. You have been warned! That happened to me and it was very hard to get out, I had to use pliers.Having a 500/1000mm lens for $100?? Can’t complain with that though! Having that kind of zoom compared to not having it makes it all worth it, even if the lens is sub par. For the money it’s great.
Nice!!! Received yesterday and was well packed, comes with the adapter and works perfectly with my D3100, we need to set to manual and change the shutter speed (already saw some negative comments about getting pictures), google people before sending back, anyway amazing close pictures, I’m still learning how to use the manual mode (you can see by the pictures the lightning still need some work) but I’m happy so far.
