Additionally, the Variable Macro System also positions this lens for close-up shooting with subjects just one centimeter away for true macro photography.
Complementing the sensor and optical attributes of the TG-5 is a robust set of features for withstanding the elements, tracking your adventures, and sharing your images. Very nice camera I’ve used this camera for about a month as our camera to capture everyday activities with my family. I really like the microscope setting, although you have to get pretty close to the object you are photographing so I don’t think I’ll be able to use it to capture images of any bugs or things that move. There are a lot of features I’m still discovering. I haven’t tried it underwater yet but all the compartments looks like they lock and are water tight. The only drawback is I wish it would zoom…
Took on water just after the 30 day window Loved it while it worked. I had to have someone fly it out to us as we are living/traveling by sailboat, so 30 days was over by the time I got to use it. Used it 2 times and brought it out of the water only to find it had taken on water inside. Very expensive loss. I tried the app to do wifi transfer of photos…very important to me, but even after uninstalling and trying to reinstall, could never get it to work.
Love the Olympus camera Camera is a lot of fun, and a lot to learn. The accessory bundle was a disappointment, mostly items of little use. It would have been nice to get some kind of manual with at least an overview of what buttons to push when.
