Customizable buttons and Controls
It has two dials on the top along with a rear-mounted control wheel that allows you to select your preferred shooting mode and camera settings. Button customization lets you shoot just the way you like for greater speed and convenience. You can assign any of 47 functions to any of 7 buttons (including two dedicated custom buttons), and assign up to twelve functions to the Fn button for quick access.
Viewfinder

It’s a great camera for travelling due to relatively small size and … I have been using Canon 5D Mark III and Canon 4ti DSLR for many years. Recently, I bought this Sony a6000 for travelling. It’s a great camera for travelling due to relatively small size and light weight. Fast focus makes it easier to take pictures. Easy to transfer photos from camera to phone once the APP is downloaded and the setting up is done. Overall it’s not too bad. I have 5 things to complain:1. The design of SD card slot is not very user friendly. It’s hard to get the SD card out of the slot.2. Write speed is noticeably slow. I use SanDisk Extreme Pro 128GB SDXC UHS-I Card. The max. speed for card is 95MB/s. But I can see the camera screen frozen for a 1/2 second during writing/saving.3. The neck strap comes with the box is a joke. The edges and material are so hard that it can scratch the skin. I have to buy a 3rd party strap to replace it. It’s unbelievable that a such nice camera came with such crappy neck strap.4. THE BEST This camera is an absolute monster when it comes to performance! It’s absolutely fantastic in auto focus quality and takes top notch pictures. I am a beginner but I know a good camera when I see one, I have also done a lot of research before purchasing this. Don’t get the kit lens – revised review I’m updating my previous review. After many sessions of research about the “cannot recognize lens” error, I realized that the problem might be the kit lens. It would not retract. I hadn’t used the camera in months and didn’t realize this (yes, I’m a beginner, and I live far away from any camera store). As I re-read other people’s problems with this, it seemed that most of the issues were with the cheap kit lens. I ordered another, different, lens and that lens was recognized as it should. Still 3 stars because the kit lens shouldn’t fail after one 3 week trip. As I said, I’m a beginner and I thought I would practice before “graduating” to one of the expensive lenses.
