It is still very good at f/11 and f/16, falling off to being only fair at f/22.CA (Chromatic Aberration) is remarkably well controlled throughout the aperture range. It is very unlikely that CA will be seen as a problem and if further correction is ever needed we can of course look to software solutions.Vignetting at open aperture is quite obvious at -1.5 stops, although this does have a useful side effect in that corners of an image are often darkened in post processing to concentrate our eyes on the centre of the image. Here we have a natural effect, more often seen in wide angle designs. At f/2.8 darkening has reduced to around two thirds of a stop and this has reduced to about one third of a stop by f/4. It doesn’t really get any better than this, the mild -0.3 stop vignetting continuing right through the aperture range. The lens shows +0.63% pincushion distortion, which again is an excellent performance. Further correction could be made in software if the need arose, but for most purposes this would not be necessary.Performance against the light is excellent as well, and flare was not observed in any of the conditions found throughout the test period.Meike 85mm f/1.8 Pros Excellent sharpnessLow CALow distortionMeike 85mm f/1.8 ConsAF noisy and slowNo weather resistance Edge softness wide openPackage:1*MK-85MM F/1.8 Lens2*Lens Cap(front and rear)1*Lens hood1*Lens bag1*Lens Cleaning Cloth1*Manual and Warranty Card

Very pleased with the value! Took a chance and for me I’m pleased with the quality of this lens for the money I paid. I do mostly studio portraits and headshots. So far I’m having a hard time telling the difference between this lens and my Canon 70-200mm L f/2.8.
Great value! Smooth focus, nice bokeh. But use a tripod. Since there is only one review I wanted to share just a little about this lens. I use the lens on a Sony A7ii.First, it is a manual lens, but it does communicate to a degree with the Sony camera. It has electronic aperture control, but most importantly it engages the cameraâs focus magnifier and focus peaking. This makes focusing this manual lens infinitely easier. The lens does display some chromatic aberration wise open, but so far I havenât found this unmanageable. Mostly Iâm getting crisp and smooth images that especially display nicely after mild correctionsThere is one warning though. The lens doesnât have stabilization, AND doesnât communicate with the Sony in-body stabilization. So for me, that means shooting this lens with a tripod. My images immediately began super sharp once I started shooting on a tripod.I would definitely recommend this lens for someone who wants an 85mm and your budget wonât accommodate an autofocus version…
