My Plex server is now much more capable I have a Plex server and even an Intel i7-8700K can be strained with the transcoding. I also wanted to start converting video to H.265, but this takes an incredibly long time with the CPU. I have an NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti in a different computer, but NVIDIA locks their “consumer” cards at two transcodes at once. The Quadro P2000 was the cheapest non-consumer card without the two transcode limitation. Now, I can be converting H.264 video to H.265 and separately have Plex transcoding multiple videos…
Using for plex transcoders and works great I am very happy I made this purchase for my Plex server. Handles multiple 1080p 10Mbps transcodes without issue. I took one star off because all the hype around this card makes it seem like it can handle 30+ transcodes, but I think it’ll start to bottleneck at ~15 transcodes.
Good Video card for CAD and FEA This card is extremely Powerful, and I am satisfied with my purchase. I use this card for engineering software such as FEMAP and Solidworks. I almost returned this card to get the P4000, however I’m glad I didn’t as it seems to perform well even with large models. I only gave this product a 4 star review because the box on my example arrived damaged and the metal bracket on the card was slightly bent. However after installing the card everything seems to work.
