Needing to monitor toddler AND baby — So far, this one works! My dilemma was finding a monitor that would meet two different needs. My 2.5 year old’s camera would have to be mounted on the wall across the room from his bed (8 feet away), in order to get a decent wide angle shot of whatever he’s doing (hopefully sleeping!), while the newborn’s camera would be mounted on the wall close to the crib for a close-up view. Unfortunately, most video baby monitors I tried (notably, the Infant Optics DXR-5) just seemed to lack the strength of video in night vision…
An Acceptable Solution I must have read 100+ reviews on baby monitors before I bought this one and the conclusion I came to was that they all suck in some way. but it beeps and you lose it for a good 5-10 seconds After a couple of months one of the cameras can’t produce an image half the time and both cameras loses wireless signal ever 2-3 minutes. Sure..it comes back in a few seconds, but it beeps and you lose it for a good 5-10 seconds. My camera and receiver are never more than 50 ft. apart. It’s really obnoxious. In addition, the two way communication is really bad. I can hear my child speak pretty well, but trying to speak back they only hear a muffled voice like the microphone in the parent…
