Never put your P900 directly on the tripod. I am writing this review in hopes that I can protect someone else from what happened to me. I had my camera about 6 weeks when I decided to put it on my tripod. I had it on the tripod one time and this is what happened. What happened was I had it on the tripod once and not for long. So I had just left the tripod attachment on it. Then I had it in my lap when I was texting a friend about changing the settings. Best bridge camera for sure This camera is amazing from macro to telephoto. A bit difficult to focus manually in large distance scenarios.
Awesome camera but stability is bad I loved how far it can zoom in the moon pictures are amazing and even bird picturesBut being able to hold it steady is very difficult even braced on your arms and legs sitting down stability really needs to be adjusted on this camera
