Nice balance of value & function Nice balance of value and function. I decided on this crop frame sensor because I like zoom and macro shooting, and crop-sensors magnify the zoom. Plus crop sensor DSLRs are a lot less expensive. I decided to do a less expensive but enthusiast-quality body so I can later invest in really good lenses. Maybe one day I can spring for a full frame body, but not now. I love the touch screen interface. So nice to be back with Nikon. My last SLR was a Canon. It was fine, but I love…
Picture quality and exposure Excellent picture quality. I owned D7000 and I saw the difference in exposure results. D7000 has over exposed and brighter than it should.Low light results using high ISO is much better than my old D7000. Less noise and fine picture quality.Remote shooting by cell phone is very useful and smooth in this camera. I tried with D500 and the remote shooting is not as good as this one.More scenery preset for exposure control is another plus.Cons: Only one SD slot. Heavy.

Very happy with this purchase, I’ve been an amateur shutterbug for several decades and this package…
