Don’t buy as a refurb. Defective lens shutters that malfunction intermittently and are not being picked up by quality control. This review is of the “certified refurb” camera – not the camera bought brand new. I would caution NOT buying this as refurb! I didn’t want to pay full price, so I bought as a refurb. I ended up having to return the first THREE cameras. The problem was always the same–the lens shutter would start sticking. This was very intermittent and did not always start right away. Once it didn’t start until 3 weeks in. And I was using a case that protected the lens shutter. I almost gave up, but…
The refurbished camera looked good upon first glance but the lens did not open … The refurbished camera looked good upon first glance but the lens did not open all the way which resulted in some photos with the lens covering the corners and the view finder did not work. Other than these major problems, the camera took very good photos and the flip screen feature was useful for selfies. Return postage was paid for and I received a full refund promptly after mailing the defective item. I would not buy from this seller again.
Great camera at a low price! Bought it refurbished from Secondipity and looks and works just like a new one. It came with all the accessories and a 90 day warranty. The original box and user manual were not included but I didn’t mind. A PDF of the manual can easily be found online if needed.
