ASUS has been high quality, but this vendor is trying to lie too much. First off the laptop itself is wonderful. I have slowly transitions my personal laptop and the hardware in my desktop to ASUS over the last few years. but this is not sold through ASUS directly. I knew that going in and you should be aware of it too. The RAM and Hard Drive are replaceable, but Apricot Power PC. has left out essential hardware for it.The pros and cons of going with this re-seller:Pros) They have put 4 GB of ram into the expansion slot so the system has 8 GB to work with. and they put in a SATA m.2 drive for fast windows boot times. the 4 GB that ASUS soldered into the computer is bare bones and i was going to upgrade to 8 or 12 GB anyways. so this saved me time and about $50 by going with this package.Cons) that SSD is only 128 GB, and while the title says “massive storage space for huge files” that statement just not true. Windows 10 itself uses about 40 GB, so there goes one third of your total storage space. Thankfully ASUS…
Great Linux VivoBook 15 Laptops Purchased three (3) 2019 ASUS VivoBook 15 15.6 Inch laptops for my grandkids (8, 9, 11 years old). They asked for ChromeBooks, but considering price, functionality, and performance, I decided to purchase these devices. They arrived on time and in perfect condition. I installed Fedora 31 x86_64 OS on them, and locked the laptops down to deliver a more-or-less ChromeBook set of features. Grandkids LOVE them! They work really well. It’s amazing what they are learning. Thank you ASUS! Everything works without any additiona drivers and with no messing around. Fedora 31 was just a matter of install and use!
Very Sturdy and Looks Good The slim line is a great feature. Battery life and screen resolutions is great. Used it for job applications and class assignments.
