Excellent product, dangerously clueless support Using the APC SMC1000C for my IT equipment including a Buffalo Terastation 1200D running a raid. Contrary to the false information given to me by a completely clueless APC support twonk this ups CAN be connected via usb to the nas, and the nas WILL be able to be programmed to SHUT DOWN gracefully via its browser interface.Just plug the ups into the mains, connect it to the nas via usb, plug the nas into the ups and boot the nas. Quiet and it gets the job done. This is an upgrade from my old APC UPS. That one is several years old. But I have a new computer that requires a good sine wave signal so I got this one. Easy setup. The battery showed up with almost a full charge on it. It was pretty much just plug it into the outlet and plug in my computer, monitor and my router. Very easy display to read. As long as it keeps running I will leave five stars for it. It is heavy. Around 40 lbs. Maybe they should design in some finger holds into the case.I…
