Major Events occur when motion is detected after a prolonged period without event (at least 25 mins).
Minor Event occur when motion is detected within 20 mins of last motion event and at least 3 mins without motion.

Perfect security camera for homeowners Having the repeater is the way to go. All 8 cameras feeds that device, then a single cable is connected to the network. The DVR portion (I think) wherever your TV/monitor is located and is plugged into the network as well. One bonus that came with the unit that I wasn’t expecting was the 2 TB hard drive. Not a bad camera system, but not without it’s issues. So far I am quite elated with this camera system. I got it for a price that must have been on sale at the time and was worth ever penny and then some.
