Unfortunately, renewed wasn’t. Non-functional out of the box. Was happy to get a good deal on the R9000. My R8500 has been a solid performer at home with my AT&T gigabit service, so when it came time to replace my business’ TP-Stink AD7200 I went straight to Netgear.Unfortunately, while the unit appeared brand new with new accessories and installed fine, it ran really hot and wouldn’t run above 6Mb. Updated the firmware, same problem. It was also very flaky keeping an IP as if it were releasing and renewing on its own. Latency was fine and…
Router works. Plex does NOT connect to NAS. Just got off the phone with Netgear. R9000 CAN NOT connect to ReadyNAS 214 via USB. It is not supported. So I tried to connect a 4TB WD Passport (3.0) to USB – NO GO. Tried a Samsung 256 GB 3.1 USB Flash drive – NOPE!Netgear advised replacing it and Amazon is doing that. BUT let me say that hooking this puppy into Verizon FiOS system is a pain in the butt. I’m going to try the replacement first – if no joy, I’m going for a different manufacturer.
POS Worked great for 4 months….then stoped broadcasting network name……now can’t connect to internet. I am an IT professional and I’ve gone through all the troubleshooting steps to eliminate the ISP and the Modem as potential problems.
